I'm usually pretty good about checking pockets before I load the washing machine. This time I guess I was in a hurry and didn't do it. There was a pen in John Allen's shirt pocket. It made it through the wash but not not the dryer! This is what a dryer looks like when a pen explodes.
Big mess! Of course, the clothes were ruined, but luckily they were things I didn't mind throwing away or donating to the "rag" box. John Allen found some clean-up solutions on the internet and I tried a few before coming up with my own.1. Heat up the dryer, then use Clorox Clean-up - didn't work at all
2. Heat up the dryer, and use the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (that erases anyting) - didn't work at all
3. Orange Glo floor cleaner - didn't try it
4. Kaboom - didn't try it
5. Heat up the dryer and use the liquid Comet that I already had in the cabinet - worked a little
After much scrubbing and suffocating with my head in a hot dryer with fumes, it is still spotted with blue ink, but better.
