The quest for the perfect Christmas card photo

It's time, once again, to begin deciding what picture to use for Christmas cards. John Allen and I don't ever have our camera when we need it, so we don't have that many pictures of ourselves. For the Christmas photo to be complete, we need Sugar to be in it as well, so we recently set out on a beautiful fall day for a photo shoot (much to John Allen's dismay). It didn't turn out as planned because no one would cooperate with me! John Allen didn't understand my instructions. Would you understand me when I said, "Walk away from the camera, count to ten, and then turn around so that we don't look posed?" Okay, maybe I overthought it a little. Sugar must learn to follow the photographers orders before she becomes a cover model. This is what we captured:

I thought that this dead tree looked like a nice place for a picture. It wasn't.



and. . . are we the only one's that see the resemblance?

oh my goodness! you make me laugh, girl! hilarious! and yes, i feel you about the christmas card picture- it's even harder with three little ones that are looking every which way but right at the camera AND smiling!
